Quick e-file safety checklist

  1. Inspect the bit and handpiece before every service.
  2. Seat the bit fully and lock the chuck before turning the drill on.
  3. Begin at a low speed and increase only as needed for the service.
  4. Use light pressure and keep the bit moving to limit heat buildup.
  5. Match the rotation direction to your working hand and service area.
  6. Stop immediately if the handpiece vibrates, overheats or makes an unusual sound.

Cleaning and sanitation

  • Discard sanding bands after each client.
  • Remove visible debris from reusable bits before disinfection.
  • Use an approved salon disinfectant and follow its contact time.
  • Dry bits completely before storing them in a clean, ventilated case.
  • Never immerse the electric handpiece; wipe the exterior according to the equipment instructions.
