Quick e-file safety checklist
- Inspect the bit and handpiece before every service.
- Seat the bit fully and lock the chuck before turning the drill on.
- Begin at a low speed and increase only as needed for the service.
- Use light pressure and keep the bit moving to limit heat buildup.
- Match the rotation direction to your working hand and service area.
- Stop immediately if the handpiece vibrates, overheats or makes an unusual sound.
Cleaning and sanitation
- Discard sanding bands after each client.
- Remove visible debris from reusable bits before disinfection.
- Use an approved salon disinfectant and follow its contact time.
- Dry bits completely before storing them in a clean, ventilated case.
- Never immerse the electric handpiece; wipe the exterior according to the equipment instructions.
